Legal validity
Consumer rules for garages in most countries require a written estimate and the customer’s consent before additional work; an estimate signed electronically meets the requirement and keeps date and time. A vehicle sale agreement between private parties is valid with a simple electronic signature; the change of ownership is registered separately with the vehicle authority, with the signed agreement as supporting evidence. Check whether your authority requires its own form.

Frequently asked questions
Does an estimate signed on a phone count as repair authorisation?
Yes. The rules require the customer’s written acceptance; the signed PDF with date and time proves it. Additional work, likewise.
Is the sale agreement enough for the change of ownership?
Vehicle authorities usually accept the sale agreement as proof of the transfer, sometimes alongside their own form. Bring the signed PDF and the signature certificate, and check your authority’s requirements.
Can I collect a deposit on a car when the reservation is signed?
Yes, with "Get paid on signing". The customer pays by card after signing and the money reaches your Stripe account.
Can the customer sign at the counter?
Yes. Show the QR code for the link and they sign on their phone. No tablet.
