Electronic signature for builders, contractors and tradespeople
A signed quote and a deposit in the bank before you order materials. Send the quote or the works contract, the client signs from their phone and pays the deposit by card. If there are changes later, you sign them the same way.
What you sign

- Works contract What is done, when, for how much, payment schedule, materials and warranty.
- Change orders Mid-job changes signed, so there is no argument at the end.
- Completion and handover certificate The client signs that the work is finished and accepted.

Legal validity
A works contract between a business and a consumer is valid with a simple electronic signature in the EU, the UK and the US. With consumers, the quote should be given in writing beforehand and changes need their acceptance: signing change orders in the same tool covers you. For contracts concluded away from your premises, consumer law in many countries grants a cooling-off period, so mention it. Permits and planning consents are separate.
With Pro: unlimited sends, several signers, reminders, your logo and name on every send, and documents kept for 12 months. €4.99/month, cancel anytime. Create your account to try it free for 14 days — without Pro you still get 3 free sends a month.
Frequently asked questions
Can I collect the deposit when the quote is signed?
Yes. Tick "Collect a deposit on signing", enter the amount and the client pays by card right after signing. It reaches your Stripe account with a 1% fee.
What about changes during the job?
Make a change order (one page with the item and price is enough), send it as a new document and have it signed. It stays in the dashboard next to the contract.
Does it work for the handover certificate?
Yes. Send the certificate and the client signs acceptance from their phone. Add photos as images in the same link if you like.
Can the client sign in person, during the visit?
Yes. Create the link, show the QR code and the client signs on their phone. Just as valid as sending it by WhatsApp.
